I offer yoga classes and guide yoga nidra sessions.

We let the body stretch and flow, so the mind can relax.

We connect movement to breath and leave the rest off the mat. With time, this subtle balance extends beyond classes.

Yoga with Maria

Creating time for practice is creating space for your inner peace. I am here to gently guide and support you according to your needs, the decision to get on the mat is yours.

Whether you are just discovering yoga, or have a steady practice – you are in the right place to feel at ease and practice with an open mind and heart.

Yoga has been a firm connective string leading me through the events of life.

Leaving home in Moscow after high school, I found myself studying and working in live entertainment in New York, Barcelona and Amsterdam. Life got busy leading international marketing campaigns for live tours of family shows. I turned to yoga in mid-twenties for the physical benefit at first, and stuck with it for the inner balance I felt ensued. Practicing in India and the US, Russia and Europe, I collected small bits of different traditions, constantly feeling there was more beyond the asanas.

A pause in the marketing career in live entertainment came with the world pandemic in 2020 and allowed me to train for a full year and get certified at Svaha Yoga in Amsterdam and with master Kamini Desai in I AM Yoga Nidra™ method. In addition to deepening the technique, this was a start of discovering yoga philosophy and noticing how it is already present all around.

I don’t take myself too seriously and gravitate towards lightness in both life and work.

  • Yet, “carefree is not careless”

In the words of my teacher Gösta Van Dam. I believe in proper planning and execution of everything one does. This is part of sadhana, spiritual practice and way of life.

I am grateful for the chance to share practice and I rely on one of the key concepts from ancient scriptures as foundation for work in both marketing and yoga services:

  • Best efforts count

Abhyāsa Vairāgya Nirodhah = Steady practice and detachment from results bring stilling of the mind (Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras 1.12). In simple terms this sutra gives us a practical roadmap to achieving the yogic goal: Equanimity of Mind (“Yogas Chitta Vritti Nirodhah” Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 1.2). I believe deeply in this universal method of applying the best effort and skills we are gifted with in all tasks, without becoming programmed for reward-driven action only.
